Salmon with Hoisin Sauce

IMG_7141 This is all about the sauce.  Use it on whatever you like for a nice sort of Thai inspired flavor.

Ingredients:

Salmon – or whatever your entree item might be!

For Sauce:

4 tbs soy sauce

1 tbs creamy peanut butter

3 tbs honey

1 tbs sesame oil

2 tbs vinegar

1 tbs hot sauce

1 tsp garlic salt

pepper – to taste

Preparation:

In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce and peanut butter.  Once well combined, stir in the rest of the ingredients. For this sauce, I found tasting was important to get a flavor I particularly enjoyed.  You might want to add more vinegar or honey depending on your preferences.

Cook your salmon about 3 to 4 minutes per side or until fully cooked, coating with the hoisin sauce mixture initially then again upon turning the fish.

Try this on chicken or even a burger.  It’s a pretty versatile sauce!
