Here’s a quick and easy recipe for folks who love tuna! The peppercorns give it just the right flavor on top of the already great tuna taste. I read a recipe similar to this and thought I’d try it with the ahi tuna steaks and it turned out nicely!
ahi tuna steaks
whole peppercorns – 1 tbs per steak
1 tbs butter
1 tbs olive oil
In a large skillet, melt the butter with the olive oil. Once the butter is completely melted, add the peppercorns. Allow the peppercorns to cook for about 7 minutes on medium, stirring occasionally. If your pan starts to smoke, turn down the heat!
After 7 minutes, add the tuna steaks. Cook for about 1 and a half to 2 minutes each side, for rare to medium rare. Top with the cooked peppercorns and serve!
